City Don't Pity Mickey!

Another game down and City find themselves doing a very good Tony Hawk impression as we move past the quarter mark for the season, got nothing but air! Earlier on in the day United had just scraped a win against Everton to draw within two points of Manchester City at the top of the table.

City were frustrated in the first half as Wolves goalkeeper Hennessey made a few very good saves to deny the home team. As a result City headed into the break with both teams tied. I must admit, considering we scored eleven goals in the last two games, I was sort of dissapointed that there were two zeros in there!

Within the opening seven minutes of the second half Wolves saw their first half hero reduced to zero as he delayed on the ball, before launching it off the Argentine into the path of the Bosnian! Edin took one touch to control the ball and the next saw the ball end in the unguarded net.

A quarter of an hour later and City would double their lead, again through a Hennessey error. Aguero moved the ball down the wing before pulling it back to Silva on the edge of the box who unleashed a shot to hot for the Wolves keeper. It spilled to the foot of Kolarov who is hard to stop from forty yards away, nevermind four.

Again City looked to be cruising for a comfortable victory but as you who have been following City for a number of years you will understand that we never do anything 'easy'. With fifteen minutes left Kompany brought down Doyle in the box after the Wolves striker reacted the quickest to a Joe Hart spill. Hunt was sent to the spot to convert and Kompany was sent to the showers! Wolves did half the deficit sending Hart the wrong way but really didn't tighten the screw despite their  numerical advantage.

As it was City would wrap up the points into stoppage time when Adam Johnson curled in what I think was goal of the game. Three more points for City, that's twenty eight from ten games played. Undefeated run inthe league continues with our last defeat coming in May last season against Everton, and almost a year since our last home defeat, also against Everton.

So the question is: How long can this run last? I'll be happy with another 28 games.
