13 years book-ended by two dramatic late twists!

Was it only thirteen years ago when City, managed by Joe Royle went on to that Wembley pitch in search of promotion. Every City fan knows what happened in that game and from third tier mediocrity we now find ourselves Champions of England!

Euro Predictions, Knockout

The 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as Euro 2012, will be the 14th running of the tournament. The tournament will be hosted by Poland and Ukraine between 8 June and 1 July 2012. It is the first time that either nation has hosted the tournament. This is part one of my predictions for the event.

Over the past week or so I have looked at the four different Groups within the tournament and tried to figure out exactly what would happen. I have decided in which order each team will finish and taking those predictions I can now look at the knockout stages and figure out who I think will win the whole tournament.

I was amazed last September by the news coming out of the media regarding Wayne Rooneys International ban. After what was a stupid lash out in Englands last qualifying game Mr Rooney has been handed a three match ban, which will see him out of the Euro group stage. That is if Mr Capello takes him, which I have no doubt he will.

Premier Predictions - Out The Window!

At the beginning of the season I predicted, with all my wisdom and knowledge exactly how the League table would look come the end of the season. Now I have looked back and I am amazed at just how wrong I was!

City Win Title

Roberto Mancini and his Manchester City side today finally put their hands on the Premiership trophy for the first time in 44 years after beating out cross town rivals Manchester United with virtually the last kick of the game.

You cannot go onto any Manchester City fan site without the final match of the season being talked about and quotes ranging from Churchill to Shakespeare being quoted. 'Once more into the breach dear friends' and 'We shall never surrender' are all good but for me the Eminem has the words that certainly express my feelings as we go into what is without potentially the greatest game in recent memory.
