Going Loco Down In Buenos Aires!

Like a child who is not getting equal attention Carlos Tevez has once again thrown his toys out of the pram. After City had amended their punishment of Tevez for the failure to warm up for the Champions League game in Munich, and Tevez hadn't contested it people were thinking that the Tevez may silently play out. Oh how we were wrong.

The Argentine failed to appear for todays training sessions at City and instead was filmed getting off a plane in Argentina on Tuesday (City's day off). Club officials said that they were expecting him to turn up for training as his request to return home had been denied. Many of Citys players are of course on International duty currently but Tevez has not been picked for Argentina who play Bolivia and Columbia within the next week.

It seems that no one really know what is going on with Tevez right now and even his spokesman, Paul McCarthy would only say that he had gone to see his family. Then went on to say that Carlos is aware that he has to get back to fitness but he cannot say more until the idiot is back in the country. Ok so he didn't say idiot but I did.

Graham Taylor, Chief Executive of the PFA, who represented Tevez and then had City reduce the players ban said on radio today that he was very disappointed with the players latest actions. When you compare Tevez with Billy Sharp, who played and scored only hours after his infant had died you see that one may have superstar wages and the other not but also that one has a superstar attitude and, well the other one, not so much.

Tevez is not in danger of burning bridges with this latest act but more like he has just placed a ton of dynamite under the bridge and pushed down on the plunger! Once again Tevez is saying that he believed he could make the trip after not being able to reach Mancini. With this kind of misunderstanding going on all the time between City and Tevez then maybe he should get it in writing? Instead of going 'Loco down in Buenos Aires!'

With this latest move Tevez has left himself open to more legal actions from City. It would also seem from Taylors comments that he may not find as much support from the PFA this time around. City could keep his registration but cancel his contract which would not allow Tevez to move to another club until the registration expired.

Tevez is actively sabotaging his own value by doing all this stuff and going against your employers, in this very public way, would probably make other future employers take a second thought before parting with the sum of money City would be looking for. Expect another fine coming Tevez's way when and if he finally appears back in England.

The only concern that I have is that Tevez seems to be on the start of a downward spiral and self destruction of a player that we haven't seen for a long time. Will this player continue to self inflict damage to himself or will someone close to him, or has his ear, pull him back and get him to fly right? If he continues this way then we may be reading about a talented footballer whose career ended all to soon. Hopefully not, but certainly he needs to be a long way from City.
